On May 17, state dignitaries and local officials helped Amonix inaugurate their newly opened North Las Vegas manufacturing facility with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting. Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval delivered a keynote speech, followed by remarks from U.S. Congresswoman Shelley Berkley and North Las Vegas Mayor Shari Buck.

More than 120 guests in attendance were also treated to a tour of the 214,000 square foot factory, which has been producing Amonix’ utility-scale solar power generators since February of this year. Amonix has brought more than 300 green, private-sector, clean energy jobs to an area hit hard by unemployment. According to the Nevada Development Authority, the facility is expected to contribute $560 million in economic impact to the local economy in its first five years.
