LAS VEGAS (AP) – The Department of Energy is loaning $45.6 million in federal stimulus dollars to a solar plant proposed near Las Vegas.
Energy Secretary Steven Chu, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada and Democratic Congresswoman Shelley Berkley of Las Vegas were scheduled to announce the loan Thursday.
