When customers enter Clean Energy Center, just east of Reno-Tahoe International Airport, they’ll usually find the lights turned off.
If there is artificial lighting, it comes from low-energy bulbs.
If they enter the warehouse, they’ll find a three-tiered recycling bin filled with bottles and cans.
And if they were to visit the company president’s home, they would find a solar-powered water heating system.
The energy-saving techniques reflect the motto that is the very reason Rich Hamilton, president of Clean Energy Center, got into the business three years ago: “Walk your talk.”
For Hamilton, that “talk” is environmentalism.
